Have you had trouble finding anyone to #StreetPass for Happy Home Showcase in New Leaf?
If you have, the team at @pretendo have just made it easier! With the latest version of Nimbus (which allows you to connect to the network), you're now able to StreetPass people online from anywhere in the world!
However, it's not that simple. Due to the buggy implementation of StreetPass for some games, you'll only be able to StreetPass people you've friended on your console (well that's 0 for me). It makes use of a feature called StreetPass Relay which was used at Nintendo Zones which allowed you to upload your data and download others.
I think I'll just stick to real StreetPasses for now though (I got 3 in the last year). Anyone reading from the South West or West Midlands?
Hey everyone, by some stroke of luck the Spotpass servers for the Wii U and 3DS were not yet shutdown so it is still possible to obtain and submit archives.
If you have a Wii U or 3DS I highly encourage you to follow the guide on this site to submit dumps.
Even if you don't please spread the word so we can get as many dumps as possible and save as much content as we can (boosts are very helpful and much appreciated).
It's been about three days since the Nintendo Network for WiiU and 3DS was shut down.
In case you haven't heard of it, the folks of "Pretendo Network" can help ya stay online and play your games, given you have a homebrew-running device.
Once again a great example how dedicated open-source people can keep things alive. ♥️
Played the first round of #MarioKart 7 online on the #3ds against somebody from Hungary...with #Pretendo.
I'm still amazed at all the work that's been done. It went flawlessly. 🤩
Sadly, I'm still having trouble with Mario Maker on 3ds. The compatibility chart shows that replacements for online features should mostly work, but so far I'm always seeing errors when I try to connect. 🤔

If you're a Nintendo Nerd and are sad that Nintendo has ended online services today, rejoice! Pretendo is here to save the day :) An open source network that has been reverse engineering the service is online and working quite well. I bought a Japan #WiiU last week, decided to try mod it and install #Pretendo for the first time, but now I'm a little bit stucked, makes me a bit worried about accidentally signing up for NNID instead (although I never have one before).
Xenoblade Chronicles X so we can have the whole series in one console and I can keep playing X well after my Wii U has died (which it currently is)
Fatal Frame Original Trilogy for Switch. Gimmie 1-3 which aren't (iirc) available anywhere currently. Toss them on Switch so the whole series can not only be available for everyone, but I can play through my fav horror series on repeat between Xenoblade outings.
Actually... Yeah. Just looked it up. Doesn't look like Fatal Frame 1-3 are available anywhere. Lame.
