🎧 The assault of #DanRather in 1986 New York inspired this 1994 song by #REM.
Rather's "assailant" beat him, screaming "Kenneth, what is the frequency?" on a loop.
▶️ The dark addendum to that #story: Rather's attacker, William Tager shot / murdered an NBC technician outside the "Today Show" in 1994. Tager drew 15 to 25 in 1996, and was PAROLED four years later (2010).
🎵 And Jason said: "LET THERE BE ROCK RADAR VOL. 2!" 🤘
Rock Radar #2 is 60 minutes of the best new (and not so new) #grunge, #emo, #indie, #rock, #hardrock, #bluerock tracks I've come across in my endless quest for "The Best Music You've Never Heard."

I have a huge soft spot for Sting's 1st solo album (The Dream Of The Blue Turtles) and the live album (Bring On The Night). I played those records a lot.
I had the entire The Cure catalogue as LPs in the 80s. I also had a tall floor light with 5 spots with individual switches. Some of the bulbs may have been coloured, red blue etc. These facts are not entirely unrelated.
Pretty decent album as I recall. I should listen again. This track was prolific around the Millenium. Especially with bar/venue/club staff wanting you to now go be elsewhere. 😉
