My #cantaloupe#seedlings.
Hopefully I'll get more than 2 cantaloupes this year. Last year was my first time trying to grow cantaloupes. Most of them failed due to neglect. I was too stressed/overwhelmed after my Dad died from long covid cardiac arrest early last June - many of my plants didn't make it.
Summer and I moved our vegetable garden starts into the sun this morning. It looks good so far.
The next two days are supposed to be nice and warm. Seeds love nice and warm, and so does grandma.
Good morning, Mastodon. #Seedlings ##Gardening
A late season freeze warning for #LongIsland overnight tonight. Protect your tender #seedlings by bringing them inside or covering them overnight. Outdoor #plumbing is subject to #freezing.
I have room for about 5 sweet pea plants. So I started 12. After the purple seeds arrive this weekend I'll start 6 of them, too. (I also transplanted a basil cutting that got accidentally pardoned during pesto-making the other week. I figure since it grew roots, it counts as a new basil.)
This should be exciting. I'm not actually good at this whole garden thing :rick:
These #seedlings bring me joy as they are getting ready for their migration to the great outdoors. Tiny but mighty beings that bring hope and life to our struggling world. #hope, #spring
