I have just noticed that Sengi has LibreTranslate built in to translate text from different languages to the one is selected as the default language in the settings 😎. Kudos 👍 for using an a FLOSS solution for translating instead of the more mainstream google translate. 😄
E così, grazie a #sengi con il quale ogni tanto faccio crossposting tra qui e #bluesky, scopro che Neil Gaiman è decisamente molto più attivo di là che non su mastodon.
E' solo per dire che BlueSky non andrebbe snobbato, anche se spero che sorgano altre istanze simili a quelle nate con mastodon con dietro persone e non aziende (etiche quanto vogliono, ma sempre aziende).
La cosa migliore sarebbe se i due protocolli si parlassero. Spero succederà anche questo in futuro.
Nach einigen weiteren Tests mit #Sengi und den Reaktionen auf meinen letzten Post zum Thema, habe ich mich nun persönlich für #Whalebird entschieden. Das Fediverse ist vielflältig und divers. Jeder wie er mag.
Whalebird - ein Fediverse-Client für alle gängigen PC-Betriebssysteme nicht nur multi-Account-fähig, sondern auch multi-Plattform-fähig. Ist in der Lage schnell auf alle meine 4 Fediverse-Kurznachrichtendienste (#Akkoma#Mastodon#Friendrica#Firefish) zuzugreifen, ohne wesentliche Bugs einheitlich darzustellen (Timelines und alle Listen) und in allen Grundfunktionen zu bedienen (Posten, Antworten, Boosten). Sogar mit einem übersichtlichen Interface für kleinere administrative Aufgaben (z.B. Profile, Listen).

ich persönlich nutze inzwischen #Ferdium für meine Fedi-Accounts (+ noch ein paar Foren-Accounts).
Das ist so eine Art Multi-Tab-Browser ähnlich wie Tangram https://gnulinux.ch/tangram-eine-neue-art-des-webbrowsers
Das hat für mich den Vorteil, dass die Oberflächen von Friendica und Firefish erhalten bleiben und nicht auf die Microblogging-Funktionen reduziert werden.
Für User die auf vielen Fediverse-Accounts zuhause sind, könnte das Frontend #Sengi interessant sein.
Hiermit ist es z.B. möglich die Timelines (auch Listen) aller Fediverse-Accounts gleichzeitig einzubinden und in einem Fenster anzuordnen. Boosts, Replies und Bots lassen sich in den Ansichten leicht verstecken!
@mjhn les listes dans mastodon c'est vraiment le truc mal foutu... mais ce n'est pas qu'un choix d'UX, il y a une réalité technique derrière.
Si mastodon force le suivi (ce que ne fait pas tout les logiciels AP : Pleroma notamment ne le force pas) pour ajouter dans une liste, c'est que sinon... ça risque de ne pas fonctionner.
Imaginons que tu soit sur une petite instance et que personne ne suit le compte, si jamais tu ajoute le compte dans une liste (si le logiciel le permet), elle (...)
@mjhn restera toujours vide et n'affichera jamais le contenu posté par ledit compte, ou seulement le contenu qui sera boosté par d'autres comptes suivi par les membres de l'instance.
Car il faut qu'une instance ai un follower pour que le système y envoie le contenu.

Does #Sengi have a way to manually split posts into a thread? I sometimes post #threads but I think they are more impactful when each single post makes a point, preferably one that can be shared without the full context of the thread.
If I could add something like "$---$" where the split should be I would be very happy. I would be even happier if Sengi would automatically add 🧵x/y to the bottom of each post to make the context clear.
