I haven't seen #Abigail yet but it appears to share some similarities with the French movie #LIVID (aka #LIVIDE.) At least peripherally.
I think they are probably very different in tone, but LIVID is on #Shudder (or it was) and I HIGHLY recommend it. And I'd be curious as to what people who've seen Abigail think. (No spoilers, though, please.)
The movie was great!😮Some less than ideal editing+camera choices, and extremely generic music really hurt the movie, but I still found it very enjoyable.
Bummed that Jeffrey Combs didn’t make an appearance😥He would’ve been perfect as the patient’s dad😭
I started watching this one last night but dozed off halfway through. Not because I was bored but because I'm at that age where I shouldn't start a movie past 9pm. I'll finish it tonight. It gave off "Talk To Me" vibes with bad things that happen when people contact the dead. #baghead#shudder#horror@horror
📽️ INFESTED (aka VERMINES) was great, creepy-crawly fun. An entertaining movie that's... um... infested with exactly what you expect, and filled with many moments that make you cringe, shudder, or jump.
Not recommended for those with arachnophobia, but heartily recommended for weirdos like me that are excited to be horrified/terrified 😂
The film Skinamarink is one of the most divisive horror releases of all time. If it clicks for you it really hits. No other film has invoked that disconnected nostalgic feeling of thinking back to your childhood as an adult. It's an incredible experimental piece that landed for me.
