「 The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) is proposing a $7 million fine against Cerebral, a mental telehealth firm that it says not only was careless with patients’ data but actively shared it with third parties for advertising purposes. The company and its CEO, Kyle Robertson, are also accused of lying to customers about how their data is shared and of having a misleading cancellation policy 」
This comes as a surprise because
1.) I've had the Rx filed by Walmart off-and-on over the past 20 years or so.
2.) I had no issues with #CVS / no idea that this was "a thing"

(Adderall patients are forced through this rigmarole every 30 days).
I can see the wisdom in using a 24 hour video calling service to triage people, rather than having them turn up to an emergency department or 24 clinic and wait, potentially for hours. But a "#telehealth" triage service for public hospitals ought to be run as an integrated part of the public health service. The only part that should ever be outsourced is the digital infrastructure component, not the medical service itself, and arguably not even that.
