I created some new photo art this morning. 2 new pieces; 1 b/w piece here.
They're visual contrasts between devastating logging #clearcuts & world famous #OldGrowth tree, Big Lonely Doug. These creations are sparked by my lifelong love of ancient #forests & the need to keep protecting them, against government lies & #ecocide industry greed.

This is my fave #tree on the #WildPacific hiking trail in #Ucluelet on Vancouver Island.
I prefer staying in #Ukee over Tofino. I will do day trips to Tofino while up that way but have always loved being around Ukee much more.
This big leaf #maple#tree suffered wildfire damage. It's still providing #life & nutrients to other plants, trees & fungi. There's no such thing as no value in a dead tree, left to be, in a forest.
Forests have far more value than just timber dollars. Looking at forests, with only monetary profit eyes, is the epitome of short sighted mindsets.
