I love these #birds 😍 A whole bunch of them returned last week, to nest at the docks at paddling club. I enjoyed viewing them, before boarding dragonboat for our weekly team practice.
Good morning 🌄
Fantastic news to start this fab Friday with 😀
I got into a new para #dragonboating#PilotProgram. It's a 7-week program starting April 6, leading to the Super Sprints Festival May 26, on the Gorge waterway. Training with head coach of the Canadian Para Dragon Boat team.
I met Rosie at a film shoot. She's a BC biologist & artist. We reunited in recent years & did old growth forest activism together. I'm also friends with her daughter, who now lives in Victoria.
#BritishColumbia’s legislature, described as the province’s symbol of #colonialism, now has a series of #IndigenousLanguage#signs with seven messages about ancestors, warriors, settlers and children permanently bolted to the building’s stone sidewalk perimeter.
Messages written in the #Lekwungen#Indigenous language and English were #unveiled Wednesday at an outdoor ceremony at the 125-year-old building..
From last Autumn when Anjali came over from Vancouver to pick me up for some collaborative political work. She loved my #LittleFreeLibrary in South #Saanich 😊📚
This is the magnificent #Arbutus#tree atop #LittleMountDouglas - the Little Dougie summit trail takes you up here. It's an easier summit hike than main mountain summit trail. Not recommended for most folks with mobility issues as it's not an easy hike for mobility challenged.
It's part of my musical park tour video that you can vicariously enjoy. I suggest watching this, when you need a little extra joy & natural beauty in your life: https://youtu.be/wJC97eCmVJM?si=vYmFJE7J33JOjH7s
