I am curious to know what fonts people are using for the Devanagari script. I want good #hindi rendering. Please don't suggest fonts which use a character map to render Latin characters as Devanagari characters.
Suggestions for other #indian language fonts are also appreciated. Thanks!
'Teranoptia is a #typeface without letters, a peculiar contraption that allows you to imagine chimeric creatures just by typing letters with your keyboard. Its design has been inspired by the Bayeux Tapestry and by medieval illustrations, as well as by children's books. You can use it to create border ornaments, to daydream about monsters or just to spice your layouts with #marginalia.'
Electric Blue is a rounded pixel typeface derived from Daniël’s experimentation with melting and conjoining pixels. It is a variable font with extremely bold and thin poles and a surprising switch in-between. The look of Electric Blue taps into the nostalgia of retro futuristic design from the Space Age ’60s and Neon Glow ’80s.

I made a #typeface called Astrograph. It's inspired by the typography on #StarTrek ship hulls and by fonts like Microgramma and Eurostile! Check it out and be sure to grab a copy if you plan on christening any starships any time soon.
With a nod to early American Gothics and European Grotesques and thanks to a clever curvature transformation across XCondensed and XWide, we’re delighted to introduce our latest #typeface Push by Christine Gertsch.
I kinda want to learn some typography. What are good resources to check out for that?
I usually just slap "Source Code Pro" and "Crimson Text" into everything that I do, but I think my stuff would feel more "polished" if I had a personal typeface (or multiple different ones), that I can use instead.
Microsoft is rolling out the new default font in its Office 365 suite, ditching Calibri in favor of Aptos, which was created by Steve Matteson. "He wanted Aptos to have the universal appeal of the late NPR newscaster Carl Kasell and the astute tone of The Late Show host Stephen Colbert," the Microsoft Design team wrote in a Medium post last year. Here's more from Popular Science.
The #ObsidianMD Border theme, coupled with the Style Settings plugin, is so lovely. You can customize the look and feel quickly without hunting for deeply nested selectors in the inspector to use in custom CSS snippets.
And the seamless embed option is excellent if you're like me and use transcludes everywhere. Great work, Akifyss, and co.!
When I first saw the photos of a recently opened gym on Google Maps, I had a feeling that its owner must be a zh-hans native speaker, for the font they used in their interior design resembles so much like a zh-hans brush script font.

I know that the #design and #webdev of any #homepage should also take #a11y into account (see toot above), but as far as the choice of #font is concerned, I don't know very much yet.

Anyone interested in buying a Mergenthaler Linotype Company (Brooklyn) specimen book? (I have an extra!) The book is in pretty good shape with some of the red binding worn and some water staining on the bottom of pages. But the inside is in lovely shape and very easy on the eyes. Hardcover, prob from the 1930s. Ships from Canada 🇨🇦 -- I would love to see it in good hands.
Loving this Garden theme. the #ASCII#visualizer is very fun to play with. Different characters have a very different aesthetic.
I like this old #Macintosh Chicago #font. The colours and #typeface really change up the vibe. I'm pretty happy with where this is heading. I really wanna play a good projector show with this.
