I find it pretty hilarious that #Christians claim to be #Prolife on christian grounds when the #bible explicity tells people that not only abortions are ok, but actively tells you that you SHOULD have abortions (under certain circumstances).
Dont take my word for it, the bible is pretty clear about this.
If she has made herself impure and been unfaithful to her husband, this will be the result: When she is made to drink the water that brings a curse and causes bitter suffering, it will enter her, her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse. – Numbers 5:24-27

I think one of the big things that a lot of progressive white #Christians fail to understand, is that if they're serious about being allies to people marginalized by various Churches, then they have a responsibility to at least try and educate other white Christians. For a few reasons:
You're in a better position to make arguments relevant to their faith.
You're less likely to be dismissed out of hand by bigots.
The least helpful thing you can do is just dismiss them as "Fake Christians"
We've all been sounding the alarm on fake #CINOs (#Christians In Name Only) now those chickens are coming home to roost. Have fun with that #Christianity without an actual Christ.

For those of you who think #Christianity 'co-opted' #Christmas from Paganism, you're very likely to be referencing 'Chasing the Sun' by Richard Cohen.
In that book, he misattributes a quote that is supposedly from the 4th century but is actually from much later.
That is not to say that Christianity hasn't appropriated any Paganisms, but to say that the 25th Dec was not relevant to early #Christians is not true at all.

Just found out that the Southern Baptist Convention has not just removed Rick Warren's Saddleback church and has knuckled down on forbidding women from being pastors.
I never really understood their vehemence against women pastors. Just glad I am not emeshed in church culture.
Speaking as a Christian but ex-#Evangelical, I think #Christians argue about the stupidest things & forget about what they are really supposed to do.

The anti-LGBTQ hate group #OneMillionMoms is big angry that the annual Macy's #Thanksgiving Day #Parade is including two Broadway musicals that feature #trans and non-binary characters. They demand that the parade represent lilly-white, #Christofascist values to the exclusion of everyone else. And they're going to get their way by staging a #boycott! In their mind, all the good, white #Christians are going to stay home and read the #Bible instead of watching the parade!
