What #Biden has achieved since in office is amazing. He inherited many mismanaged crises, including the pandemic, in the wake of an attempted coup that could’ve prevented him from taking office. He was handed a nation that Trump divided with fear and hate, while inciting violence against political opponents, ethnicities, races, religions, and nationalities he had scapegoated for the nation’s ills.
Biden does his job well. He should be permitted to do it as long as he’s able to do it. #gratitude
Once again learnt that in order to avoid putting myself at a disadvantage I should trust my instincts more and make smart not hasty decisions. Today is the last time I learn this lesson..at least for today’s specific issue 🤞🏽
Rusks with my coffee this morning..I haven’t had them in ages 😋
One of the things that drew me to this particular instance is the fact that #alt text is mentioned in the rules, and I'm seeing the effect of it even in my short time here. So much #game related content tends to go right by me because it's screenshots, or memes based on some kind of visual thing that isn't described and literally every image I have seen so far has good, well-written alt text. It's seriously appreciated, all of you #thanks#gratitude
Sweet delicious pieces of pineapple..with some leftovers waiting for me tomorrow 🍍
Loaded credit onto my bus card 🚌
Finally saw this one friendly security guy who works in my building..it's been a while and it was great to chat to him and seeing his smiley face brought me lots of joy 😊 🤗
Saw this quote, ❤️ it and sharing because it’s a beautiful reminder of some words we can all live by: “Hate no one, no matter how much they have wronged you. Live humbly, no matter how wealthy you become. Think positively, no matter how life gets. Give much, even if you have been given little. Forgive all, especially yourself. And never stop praying for the best for everyone.” #Humility#Gratitude#Kindness 💚
To the person unironically wearing the primary red beret in the Starbucks and chatting up anyone who will look at their unironic primary red beret for longer than a fraction of a second, I didn't realize I had social anxiety until you made me realize that if you decided to start talking to me I might run through the window to get away.
So, in a way, I am grateful for you and your unironic primary red beret for teaching me something about myself.
This is the Chicago Board of Trade, an Art Deco skyscraper that anchors LaSalle Street in Chicago’s Financial District. Represented Bruce Wayne Enterprises in Batman movies. The aluminum statue atop the building is Ceres, representing abundance.
Life is short, break the rules. Forgive quickly, kiss slowly. Love truly, laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that makes you smile
(Mark Twain)
This is where I start my day with a cup of coffee and a #book while listening to the birds and admiring the view of the hills and the city. I feel extremely blessed to live here.
Fortunately, as I am posting this on #Mastodon I don't have to worry about people hating me for posting my good fortune* 😆
