I've just published version 7.0 of Fretboard, which brings more accurate chord name prediction, note names on hover for the neck top toggles, and a couple of fixes for various small issues encountered since last release. I had a bit of time to record two new tracks to my ongoing instrumental/ambient project “music for snailports”. Trying to just have a mini idea of how I want something to sound and then doing some spontaneous recording. These ones came out a bit #GuitarSoli or like kind of reminds me of being by the ocean.

After about 6 months, I finished up a guitar I built for my 16yr old kid. We used maple (which is heavy, but sturdy). It's a Telecaster body style, and he picked out the electronics. We're both pretty happy with how it turned out!
Had an idea to take an old song I wrote and meld it with an new one I am working on. It worked! Took the guitar part and made it the bass line. Once it got the tempo correct it was all good. #MakingMusic#HomeRecording#LogicPro#Guitar#Bass
Good band practice today. We're doing a bunch of covers and reviving one song we wrote together in the 90s. All starting to sound pretty good but guess the one song and #guitar solo I made a pig's ear of. Yes, our own, and my own.

Had a bit of a #SaturdayMorningGuitar session this morning, but then an early out-for-breakfast, so have been delving back into related activity this afternoon.
I compile music charts in a way that I prefer for easy reference while playing, and I've been a bit backlogged on songs I wanted to capture that way.
A couple of people have asked, since my recent instance change, about what I'm playing - musically speaking. Recently, I've been just messing around for a couple of hours, no more than 3-4 takes, and no previous idea of what I was going to do. Usually on a Sunday morning. As you can imagine it can vary in success widely but I'm also trying to learn how to record myself, get better at playing, everything really ... Here is a recent one.
First track in the can! Danny Gotham and I are hoping to release our new album sometime in late summer. Mostly acoustic instruments, #mandolin, #classical and steel string #guitar, #ukulele, #lute, a little electric guitar and lap steel, too. Nice variety of material, too! Big honor to get to do this with Danny, who’s one of the best pickers this side of the Mississippi.
