A friend waxed poetic about how upset is he is about the state of the world and I gave him three specific actions he could take to change things. He says he can't. STFU already.
The same person who moaned about the state of the world but wouldn't accept any of my ideas for actions he could effect to change things is the same person who, again and again spoke to me about making him a new portfolio for his modeling portfolio. I did but he complained this binding needed to be different. When I brought it up last night he said he doesn't want it anymore. All that work for nothing. I think it may be fun to do some wood carving outside this summer (because I don't have enough hobbies). To this end, I bought some basic carving knives to go with some chisels I already had. Rain has made the light terrible til now, but I spent all of yesterday afternoon sewing and made my son a Dopp kit for all of the testosterone shot stuff.
There's a lot of stuff and I wanted them to have a nice way to lug it around. I ordered some small sharps shuttles too so they can keep one in there.
It's been so nice getting back sewing again. There's a real zen to it.

Since I’m sure someone will ask, the name labels are Kraft Tex (washable #paper that is sewable and behaves like #leather), printed at home on a laser printer, sealed with a clear matte acrylic finisher, then scrunched up to imitate the wrinkly patina of leather before machine #sewing them on with a leather needle.
