Possible major winter storm for New England this week. (via @theeyewallwx )

"The current thinking is that the greatest odds of heavy snow are most likely from southern New Hampshire and Vermont into western Maine. Snow and/or sleet will be possible down into parts of northern Massachusetts as well, north of the Worcester area. This could be some very heavy, wet snow for parts of southern New Hampshire and southwest Maine in particular, from Keene and Concord to Lewiston. "

Dear Friends,

1/2 The USGS maintains a system of flood gauges to, among other things, help forecast flood risk. Today's brings heavy rains on top of early snow into . The Black River in has only one flood gauge (NOVS1) in North Springfield, far downstream where flooding has now closed Rt 100 and Rt 103 in Ludlow where last summer's big storm caused millions in damage.
