This needs tweaks, but if you want to endlessly add fibonacci numbers...

Is it endless?

What is the average score of randomly moving until you lose?

do you play better when you don't try?

I might bother to answer these, I might not.

It should work on mobile other than not having a delay when you hit the end. (I need to figure out how to fix that)

Trying to get back into creative coding. The one thing that I've always wanted to do and never figured out is synchronizing music with something like p5.js or p5.py or something similar. What I'd like to do is drive the sketch with MIDI data, which is also being used to play music.

Anyone know how to do this?

I added a cool one to the collection this week. I figured out a way to replicate @ronikaufman's recent Truchet spiral images (https://openprocessing.org/sketch/1978420) using relatively simple nested loops of circles. This allows it to be scaled up to high resolution without issues. I got his permission to add it, and also incorporated many variations, including several new ones, that can be uncovered through interaction.

Prompt for is 'Code for one hour. At the one hour mark, you’re done.' I started with a vague idea of having a pattern in two color schemes layered by floating blobs. Used the the blobs from wobbly function day. I like the idea that this is an abstract autumn forest with cold clouds overhead, but that narrative is a happy accident. I stayed true to the prompt and stopped at an hour.

Code at :https://openprocessing.org/sketch/2158408

Soft autumn colors in triangular grid with dark lines in a vaguely tree-like pattern. Blobs travel up the canvas, displaying the same pattern but in cooler shades of green and blue

not my art, but i love it. This is again all anon(although I'm pretty sure I know who lol) and all can be deleted instantly, is all ephemeral. Made with and

seeing these after my tiktok was deleted permanently gives me such joy. I'd rather a good network with just a tiny group of people doing things worth doing than a network of evil with billions of people.

Is processing/p5.js well designed? What do you like/dislike about its API design? Where do learners get stuck when starting out?

I'm sure people have thoughts on this out there, but I can't find the magic search terms to find them!

Vamos apoiar o

The this week was "space-filling algorithms", and the group had a ton of really good contributions.

I chose to create a diffusion limited aggregation system. It was something that I explored in my early code art days over 20 years ago, so it felt good to be able to whip up something much better in a fraction of the time. There are several variations, and it's fun to watch it slowly build up.

You can run it here:
https://openprocessing.org/sketch/2173992

With the lines extended and rotations applied, it gets an interesting jittered texture and seems more natural/organic.
Here it is shown only built up part way. The streaking effect is applied to the movement layer.
And here it is completed. The longer lines give it a deeper aerial mountain view appearance.
