So, we made a quick trip to the lake for more tests. It's hot at 84F(29C) and a huge crowd of families etc. picnicking/cooking out. Clearly this new 56mm lens isn't for snapshots and can't capture Kengo's huge body, but I gave it a shot anyway.

A bright cool Saturday morning. We met nice friends on our stroll: a mama #deer and #fawn; #horses having breakfast. Kengo was very quiet when he saw the deer.

Kengo dragged me out to a county park, and I realized my camera battery was in the charger at home. So, I had to use my phone. I rarely do selfies and it's very difficult with Kengo whose head is so big.
A donut/ice cream truck was there, and we were tempted. But apparently it was for later when kids' sport games are over and wasn't open for business yet :mastorage:

A year ago today we welcomed Breezy into our home. I don’t think she’d ever lived in a house before but she’s settled in pretty well. She only has two settings: go and sleep. The second of those she’ll happily do cuddled up with one of her humans 🥰
#Mondog from a year ago today. Drake, at our Sweetwater Creek State Park in GA, USA, decided to appear and say hello today. I hope you're having a sunny spring day up there, baby.
My furry foster friend now has a wee website! His back story, pics, info about his personality, and updates on his training will be posted here, along with links to Peace of Mind Dog Rescue and the adoption application.
Please share with anyone who might be looking to adopt! Must love snuggles. 🥰
Still cloudy and windy, but Kengo didn't care and demanded we went out. A quick stroll by the lake before going grocery shopping. New green leaves are sprouting.

We had a long walk, further up to the area where we haven't been to. Nice views of gushing water in the creek. We had a scary moment, though. A long story short, Kengo slipped, his harness came off, and he tumbled down a steep slope, and I had to slide down to get to him. All good but we were shaken up and very muddy. I'll be a more responsible dad next time.

It was nice to spend much time with Kengo today. He deserves weekend attention. A county park visit: snowdrops and pear blossoms were pretty.

Unfortunately, weather isn't cooperative, and it's forecast to be rainy and stormy for the next two days. I'm afraid my #magonolia is as good as it gets this year😔 #Mondog Kengo also tried to spice up the scene.
