I was on a walk the other day and came across a pile of #timber. I also happened to have my #camera with me and I liked the #GeometricPatterns and #Colours I saw.
The #Oregon Timber Industry Won Huge #Tax Cuts in the 1990s. Now It May Get Another Break Thanks to a Top Lawmaker.
As the cost of fighting #wildfires increases, state Sen. Elizabeth Steiner has proposed a bill — developed in consultation with the #logging industry — that would shift millions in expenses away from the biggest landowners and onto taxpayers.
I just love the mish mash of #materials and #building styles that the multi-period #historic towns of provincial #England serve up. There’s joy to be found in the chaos everywhere you look! I’m all for freedom of expression and variety. Although I do draw the line at the crapola allowed by #urban planners in the 50s, 60s, and 70s. #Vernacular#Architecture#Stone#Brick#Timber
@nickharrison I think the warmth of the tone is specifically important here so I'd go with the colour version. also think it helps provide dimensionality to the long wall, which looks kind of flattened to me in black and white.
Another thing I love about the Fediverse: I feel it’s a safe space to share a nice bit of brickwork. A place where nobody will think it’s weird that I took a photo of a bit of a wall just because I liked the look of the brick and timber. I’m going to tag this #Brick. And #Timber.
