Has any media reported about the gas and oil fields on Palestinian territory yet? You know, the one US (media) investors have interest in and might be the reason they're trying to justify a war?

I did most certainly NOT say anything about hamas, nor justified the rediculous things they did. If you want to give feedback please stick to the subject. I'm trying to find a solution to stop the war there for everybody.

If you want to criticise leaders not willing to negotiate a ceasefire then start talking about Zelenskyy.

Oh darn I misread, I was in a bit of a rant, sorry for that.

With Zelenskyy I'm on a different thought, I think the US has interest in the gas in the Black sea and Putin 'just had it' with the US influencing in governments along their border. (the US bought the gas reserves from them in 2014)

Whoever is right, I just hope there will be a solution soon, the killing of innocence people for profit of corporations just has to stop.

Knowing corporations a bit, I wouldn't be surprised if soon windows 10 'surprisingly' would get some serious bugs/hacks etc.

See it as the Apple trick, trashing older phones to push people to get the newer one. (because god forbid people would be smart enough to get a fair product from another company.........)

LA Times reports that last night, hundreds of anti-Palestine protestors violently attacked pro-Palestine peaceful protestors.

Amazing how there was immediate law enforcement to stop peaceful protestors but nowhere near that speed to stop these violent extremists.๐Ÿค”

Yesterday I had one person say I'm too so pro-tech pro-capitalist and one person say I was trying to force a leftist ideology, and both were responding to A City on Mars. All I can say is I wish people would stop trying to find the hidden motive and just read the words as plainly written!

Absurd flache bis sinnlose Dialoge und eine Geschichte, die man in 25 Minuten hรคtte erzรคhlen kรถnnen (der Film dauert 2 Stunden). Der Regisseur weiรŸ selbst nicht, was er da รผberhaupt macht - Sportfilm, Drama, over-the-top-Anime-Action? Worum geht es, was sind die Regeln, was wollen die Figuren? Niemand weiรŸ es.
Ich hab nichts gefรผhlt - AuรŸer Langeweile.

Language learners, I have questions! ๐Ÿ™‹๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ

I have noticed that when I speak Japanese (currently my weakest language, A1) and try to fetch some words, at times my head turns to my second weakest language (currently Finnish, B1).

And it's not the first time! Back in the early days of Finnish, I would revert to French; and same thing happened with German when I was learning French.

Have you noticed a similar pattern when speaking your weakest language?

@linguistgoneforeign While speaking english, dutch, spanish I learned german, and there'S some words that 'feel' like germand (from dutch) but are meaning the opposite. Like 'schlim', which kind of means 'smart' in dutch, but means 'bad' in german. Learned it the hard way (with a funny positive end though) but yeah, languages are amazing.

    Mastodon now supports automatic switching between the light and dark theme, depending on your system setting.

    It will be available in the upcoming 4.3 version, or is already there if your instance runs the nightly code.

    You can switch to this new automatic theme in your Appearance preferences. Instance admins can also set it as the default theme (I just did it on mastodon.social and mastodon.online).

    This has been done in https://github.com/mastodon/mastodon/pull/29748, thanks a lot to @nshki for the initial PR!

    For years I was perplexed by what I was seeing on left-leaning Twitter, political blogs, and partisan reporting. I had the feeling that, in its way, what I was seeing was comparable to Fox: Lots of bad information and even unhinged conspiracy theories.
