Does #ArchiveOrg slow feed torrents so torrents don't get stopped?
I've a torrent that's been locked at 91% for days
I can go to their website &download as fast as my browser &internet will let me but when I use a #torrent, it seems to totally rely on everyone else that may be seeding that torrent. If they slow fed, I could have gotten the 90% elsewhere &the last 9 from them slowly or is it my issue
Do I start over &just download 100% from them to get the file–use their bandwidth? @textfiles

@raffaele A limitation which produced file naming conventions which continue to be followed even in #torrent trackers with extremely detailed metadata fields and structured search engines. Almost an interoperability protocol ensuring communication between different file sharing worlds. I suspect the filename-centric metadata format will survive the current generation and save us in a future where all the other metadata formats are lost.

I know VERY little about this topic. But it has occurred to me that P2P could vastly reduce the need for insanely sized data centers and, subsequently, the environmental footprint of data.

Is there a standardized way to reference recordings of songs? I feel like there must be an identifier or a set of fields that uniquely identify a piece of music. I know if I sat down to list the fields I would come up with something woefully inaccurate.
