Pretty tempting to get for 37.80 MYR. As far as recent go, I didn't finish which isn't surprising cos I got distracted with many other games I have that I also haven't finished. , at first I played the male character and I thought meh I didn't like his accent lol and his character had too much testosterone (or what I describe as he's too ooga booga) so I gave it up - until long later I tried playing the female character instead and I loved her character better and the game itself was actually decent and fun so I almost completed it.

I was interested in the game before bcos a setting seems interesting to explore but bcos it's set in the UK, I think, I've to say the world/landscape itself seems pretty dull compared to something like Greece in Odyssey (again, not sure about Egypt in Origins since I've only played it like 10 mins).

1,100-year-old Viking sword pulled from English river by magnet fisher

Trevor Penny, a magnet fisherman, pulled a corroded Viking sword dating back to as early as CE 850 from the River Cherwell in Oxfordshire.

The sword, authenticated as Viking and estimated to be over 1,200 years old, represents a period of conflict and cultural exchange between the Anglo-Saxons and the invading Danish Vikings...

Does my paper about Viking skull manipulation include the section header "Talking Heads"? Of course it does.

The Viking Link High Voltage Direct Current Interconnector between the UK and Denmark will have a capacity to transmit 1.4GW of electricity. Luciano Pezzoli has designed decorations in 10th century animal art styles for the facade of the station at the Danish end, at Revsing in central Jutland. This may be the biggest Scandy animal #art object ever made! #vikings

In the Middle Ages, many Christian Scandinavians believed that the Norse gods had actually been humans from Troy who had fled their burning city and immigrated to Scandinavia, where they had used magic to make the locals believe that they were gods.

To drink from the Well of Wisdom, the Norse god Odin had to give one of his eyes to Mimir, the Well's guardian. In some versions, this is simply a general sacrifice, but in others it's a trade - the eye gives Mimir Odin's knowledge just as the drink gives Odin Mimir's.

The huldufólk (hidden folk) of Iceland are human-sized fairies whose communities are hidden in the hills. Sometimes they are depicted with cow tails. It is said that if the huldufólk marry a human, their cow tails fall off, and they become human themselves.

A new QB in Minnesota: The are expected to sign QB Sam Darnold, per me and @TomPelissero.

Darnold gets a 1-year deal worth $10M, sources say, and joins former teammate Josh McCown, who is Minnesota’s new QB coach.

Kirk Cousins out, Darnold in.

In the Christian heroic literature of the Insular area, ancient head hunting and trophy taking figures large. You know, the Mabinogion etc. But there is very little evidence that it was still practiced. Until the showed up and started doing really weird shit with severed heads in e.g. , probably horrifying the people who wrote that heroic literature.
