On the latest update on Vivaldi 6.7, we've amped up Translate, improved the Tracker and Ad blocker functionality, tweaked the Bookmarks manager, and many other features based on YOUR feedback.
🔖 We understand that Bookmarks are one of the most important aspects of your browsing. Now, Vivaldi remembers the last folder you opened in the Bookmarks Panel. We've also tidied up your bookmarks by sorting folders first, making navigation a breeze.
⚙️ We work with Lingvanex continuously to make the built-in Vivaldi Translate more efficient. With an improved performance and the quality of translations, we hope you'll find speedy results.
In addition to the above, we’ve polished the user interface and made improvements to features across the board.
Find out what they are and enjoy browsing with more of these powerful browser features👇🏻
Anyone any idea how to disable the "new" appearance of the bookmark drop down in @Vivaldi browser? Looks like the last update introduced the much bulkier design of Chrome itself. Drop down needs now so much more space and font is unnecessary in bold. Tried already some of the chrome flags but without success. #VivaldiBrowser#VivaldiHelp
Love working with tabs? Then you’ll love this: a Memory Saver that automatically puts your inactive tabs to sleep, so you can experience faster and smoother browsing!⚡
Our built-in Feed Reader now lets you follow feeds on sites like Reddit and GitHub. You can now curate your very own news feed with your preferred content. 📰
There’s more: a new option to create Workspaces with fewer clicks, export of passwords and feeds, and a window split screen view for apps on Mac.
Read on to know more, and upgrade your browser to its latest version👇
What @Vivaldi don't say in their release blog post of version 6.7 today: if you use the updated Vivaldi Feed Reader to watch subscribed youtube channel videos, you don't get to see any ads. Not sure how long this will work until Google shuts shuts this circumvention down, but right now if you're sick and tired of youtube ads, just use Vivaldi's feed reader (it's a great browser/mail program for everything else anyway)
Note that if you do that, you may want to consider other ways to support the folks who produce the videos, (which is generally the case with adblocking. There's no such thing as a free lunch. Make sure that people who create things you enjoy get something in return).
Made a small update to my @Vivaldi mod. It adds some drop-shadow to active tabs (including tabs with background audio) making them even more visible and it adds a nice little transition.
Today I tried to convince a colleague to switch from brave to @Vivaldi as his main browser. On monday I'll check if I was successful and otherwise poke him again and show him some more tricks that browser is capable of doing (until he finally gives up 😉 ) #VivaldiBrowser
🍕🚀 Your browser experience, just like your favorite pizza, should be fully customizable to suit your tastes. And at Vivaldi, your feedback is the secret sauce that makes it all possible! 🌟
But like any great recipe, sometimes the ingredients don't quite blend as intended.
After the release of Vivaldi 6.6 on Android, our efforts to unify menus and toolbars led to unintended consequences.
📝 Get a rundown of what happened after the release of Vivaldi 6.6 on Android, where we turned your feedback into meaningful action. 👇🏻
The Home button and Panel button are back on Android!
After the release of Vivaldi 6.6 on Android we got to see first-hand how much you care about your browser. You raised your voice and shared your opinion with good reason.
We made a mistake.
You made it clear to us that the removal of the Home and Panel buttons, for those with the address bar at the bottom of your screen, was not something you wanted.
That's why, as of today, both buttons are back.
Our mission is to build a browser that adapts to you, and to do this we rely on feedback from everyone who uses our products.
Do you like the look of Arc browser, but would rather have a super private, powerful and personal alternative that runs on all platforms?

Congratulations @Vivaldi, you officially made it! I got my first spoof emails claiming to be from you, saying you were going to shut down my email account unless I clicked on a fake link.
My Proton (Mail Plus) subscription is about to end in a few months and I’m really not that keen on keeping it after that point. It works.. fine (mostly) but I’m forced to keep my calendar and contacts elsewhere for cross platform- and apps functionality/sync and I would prefer to be able to just get my meetings automatically added to my calendar when I accept them, or being able to just select a mail sender and create a new contact and have that show up in my phones dialer.
Maybe @Vivaldi could offer a proper suite of plain old, tried and true (imap) mail, (CalDAV) calendar and (CardDAV) contacts sync for us that don’t need or have use for what Proton offers. 🙂
I would be willing to subscribe to a service like this from Vivaldi! Continue to offer the current set but create a suite and offer it for a subscription. One additional feature subscribers get offered is a handful (3-5) of e-mail aliases and the user can freely switch which address is primary, and the primary is the only address valid for login to the account.
(I know they currently offer mail and calendar, but just tried again and I still can’t get calendar set up on iOS so gave up even trying mail again too. Regardless I would still be missing contacts so making the whole testing moot really)
