In San Francisco there wasn't anything my eyes could actually see... but the phone caught a slight pink hue to the north around 11pm last night. An hour later, the fog rolled in and provided a much cooler scene.

Saint Paul's Catholic Church and a bit of the night lights of Noe Valley and Bernal Heights, seen from our side deck. With fog. Lots of glowing fog.

Happy Monday, everyone.

The orangutan's trial has resumed and once again I'm glued to the blow-by-blow reporting by @GottaLaff. With court now in recess for lunch, it's time to post.

Taken a few weeks ago, here is a picture of one of the courtrooms at the James R. Browning Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals in San Francisco. Yes, this place is as serious as it appears here.

    Dozens of fed judges attended wk-long seminars at luxury retreats -receiving free rms, free meals, free $ for travel worth 1000s - & failed to fully disclose as required.

    Judges w disclosure issues incl some big names.

    Aileen , currently presiding over ’s docs case, attended 2wk-long seminars at lux resort near Yellowstone Nat Park...failed to upload disclosure w/in 30 days as required.

    Court said it was an “inadvertent” omission.

    I've posted pictures of this pedestrian bridge a half-dozen times before, with different lenses and cameras. This time I let the phone do a panorama stitch... with striking results.
