yuzu kitsune tails, a purple haired fox girl, picks up samurai armor in a tower that's rapidly filling with lava. she jumps away from the rising lava and sticks her spear in the wall, doing a dashing twirl to get on top of it. she walks off the spear and into a new scene, fighting a ghost fox with armor and spear. it stabs and she jumps over, but is caught by a follow up stab. the ghost fox over extends and its ghostly powers wane, giving yuzu a chance to bop on its head

@TwistedFox Depends on the situation really, I've started a campaign in an army boot camp, an encounter on the road and of course the classic Tavern. I know a lot of people don't like the tavern start but I personally don't mind it, it works well. Usually what I do is I have my players pair up before they start the campaign, so going in then you have at least one other PC this has worked well so far.

Helping hands. When a character wants to make a skill check and others also want to make a roll, have them pick one person to roll and the rest roll for buffs.
Example: One PC wants to make a history check, however then other PC's also want to roll so instead of everyone rolling, have them nominate one person to roll and the rest roll for buffs. Each additional PC rolls a DC 10 check on a success they either grant advantage or give a +2 to the main roll. On a fail, they don’t help or maybe even hinder the main roller by giving a -2.

@slyflourish probably not helpful but I use an old moleskin dot journal. I usually end up sketching in mine and it helps me remember what they were doing and when. Sometimes I draw a rough map of towns and do a breakdown for quick ref mid game. Not done that in a while actually...I should do this more.

Another day and learning about more industry layoffs. The number of layoffs this year is alarmingly high, especially after last year when 10,000 people lost their jobs. ...Remember when Satoru Iwata cut his own pay in half so that Nintendo ground floor staff would not have to take the hit for his fuck up? I do. CEO’s should have their salaries cut and capped.
