This week on #MONSTERDON, the weekly monster movie watch party, we've got STRANGER FROM VENUS (1954)! It's apparently so similar to The Day the Earth Stood Still that it wasn't released in the US until years later for fear of legal action. Fun!
It is an hour until #MONSTERDON, your weekly monster movie watch party! If you don't want to see a bunch of nerdy monster movie toots, set up a filter for the hashtag.
@trixter@CactuarJoe I do note that there are conversion kits. They can be torque or RPM keyed, and I cannot recommend torque keying more strongly, even if it does cost a bit more because it requires changing the pedal hub too.
I haven't used one but I've eyed them, we still have a couple of old bikes we don't use that make me go, like, "full cargo conversion? full cargo conversion?"
Though mostly light-hearted, #Monsterdon has been known to delve into true horror. This Sunday, your weekly monster movie watch party will be featuring just such a film.
SON OF GODZILLA (1967), featuring perhaps the single most terrifying creature ever put to foam rubber; Minilla.
I know it's been a thing for a couple of games now, but it still weirds me out seeing Eeveeloutions in the wild. Like, why is there a Jolteon staring at me right now? Who gave this thing a Thunder Stone? Was it a Magnemite? I bet it was a Magnemite, those things are evil. #Pokemon
This Sunday at 9pm eastern #MONSTERDON returns once more! This week we're giving ol' Roger Corman a salute, since he shuffled off to that great box office in the sky recently. Meaning we'll be watching THE PIT AND THE PENDULUM (1961), which also features Vincent Price :D
Alright it is twenty minutes until #MONSTERDON, which means if you don't want to see a bunch of nerds watching a monster movie you should set up a filter!
Folks, this week on #Monsterdon, the weekly monster movie watch party, we've got an HG Wells classic. Yes it's JOURNEY TO THE CENTER OF THE EARTH (1977), which actually looks like a decent production. The costumes look solid and the MUTTONCHOPS definitely look period-accurate. Good god.
Folks, it is an hour until #MONSTERDON, the weekly monster movie watch party.
This week we're watching KINGDOM OF THE SPIDERS (1977), which features William Shatner and about 5,000 spiders. If either of those things is a problem for you, I heartily recommend filtering this hashtag, which can be done in your Preferences.
