25 March. Question for unpublished authors. Do you intend to publish? What's your timeline? What holds you back?

I am planning a “soft launch” (e-book only) of a novel this year. It’s been through a few rounds of revision, and now a friend is trying her hand at being an editor, so she is going through it now and giving me feedback. Trying publishing this one because my wife (a member of two book clubs, multiple reading challenges) read it and said she had read worse.

If I were an American I'd be really worried about how the next few days will play out. I suspect Trump will get a last minute infusion of strings-attached miracle money to pay the hundreds of millions he owes for the bond. Trump is willing to sell your future, and the future of your children to the highest bidder, who will get an alarming amount of influence in exchange. @darwinwoodka The asset could be the promise of future infuence if Trump gets back into power. I'm sure there are foreign actors who would find that useful. And maybe they are waiting to the very last second, to catch Trump at his most desperate, and snare him in a Faustian bargain.

@voron Expressing a wish for more participation is not the same as voter blaming. As for what else can be done besides using the ballet box, what do you suggest? I don't have much confidence in Trump being held accountable by the justice system in the long run.

Canadian Conservatives have shown themselves to be extremists whose single intent is the dissolution of liberal democracy. They supported the Convoy clowns as they tried to overthrow the government. They loudly attack the welfare state, science, climate change policies, women's rights, and immigrants. They support Putin and Trump. They hate Canadian multiculturalism, liberalism, and societal progress.

@f800gecko @Crowpine The only metric that matters to Poilievre on any issue is “how can I make it Trudeau’s fault”? Apart from that PP doesn’t give a rat’s ass, regardless of how much human death and suffering is involved.
