@virtualbri @mikey I was once on a Star Trek Convention and Bluebrixx had a booth there. I was able to see the first and second wave of Star Trek ships. Great stuff.

Interestingly those Gobbos for The Old World are quite early sculpts. Later they released those one part goblins. I quite liked them.

@stroughtonsmith yes they are great. I actually have both. The one part goblins and these ones. The great thing is you can easily mix them.

First Attempt At Decals

Okay, so that's a bit of a lie. I've done decals before but it was longer than I care to admit ago. Anyway, they process: decal in water, water on model, decal to model, allow to dry, MicroSol on decal, smooth decal, allow to dry (repeat if needed), matte medium on and around decal, shades to blend and make grungy. I think it turned out great and wasn't too much fuss.

My reluctance to contribute to a project for the first time was rooted in imposter syndrome fear people would say my code sucks. So too was my reluctance to publish a greenfield FOSS Project. Then you realize FOSS projects aren't the church of pristine code anymore than anywhere else. Rip the band-aid off! :)

When I shared my enthusiasm for Bodies (Netflix), I wondered if they'd stick the landing. I loved it.

If you don't know what this sci-fi investigation series is, don't watch a trailer, just start the first episode. It'll be enough to understand what Bodies is, & whether you'll like what comes next.

He shot 10 people—miraculously they all survived

James posted videos on YouTube talking about mass shootings
He had 12 prior arrests for a criminal sex act, theft and disorderly conduct

But because James had no prior felony convictions—he was able to purchase a gun

He just received 10 life terms plus 10 years

But this doesn’t fix the problem:

it’s the guns.

Andor is one year old today.
This show is exactly what I'd given up hoping for, from a big IP. I never thought a Star Wars series would be one of my favorites of the year.

@TheSpaceshipper there were so many cool scenes. I especially loved the prison scenes. Everything felt so real. What they had to assemble, the routine. We still don't know what they assembled, right?

    @scopique but that's how it's implemented. Problem is that you also switch between targets with E. In my first dogfight I stood up instead of targeting 😂

    There's a curious lack of guidance in . I appreciate that some folks prefer minimal UI & no hand-holding, but there are some surprisingly glaring omissions.

    Example: Your ship has 6 power systems (with 3-letter abbreviations in the UI), and the 1st time you get in the cockpit you're instructed to toggle between them & add/subtract power. But you're not told WHAT those systems do.

    Also, how on earth do you toggle weapons on the fly? This just doesn't feel polished.

    @killyourfm I struggled on that part too, but I'm also a fan of this micro management. I played many hours of Artemis Bridge Simulator with my friends. That felt exactly like that. 😁

    @GossiTheDog okay, so not only the engine, reactor and boosters are a limit, but my pilot skills. What if I hire a pilot?
    I currently hired a weapons specialist and am not sure if he does anything in a space fight. DonI have to tell him what he's supposed to do? 🤔
