My cousins son died suddenly a few days after Christmas. He hadn’t been feeling well. At first he had a sore throat & went to emergency to have it looked at. After hours of waiting he left. A few days later he went to a different Emerg complaining of shortness of breath. They gave him a puffer for asthma & sent him home. He collapsed a few hours later in his kitchen & couldn’t be revived. He was 45 yrs old with a 9 yr old son & twin 4yr old girls.😢

The Euro, Canadian, and US forecast models all agree on a big storm for Wed Jan 10th.

Euro - mostly rain
Can - about 30cm snow
US - about 40cm snow

A while ago, they were forecasting some additional smaller storms before and after the 10th. Those storms are now forecast to take the El Nino track across the US.

Will this big storm actually occur, or will it too get diverted onto the southern track as we get close to the 5-day window of accurate forecasting?

I went to an Ayurveda doctor years ago & was told I’m a Kapha. I became a vegetarian shortly after that & can’t believe the difference. My philosophy is: if I couldn’t kill it, I shouldn’t be eating it.

No thanks, I’ll take your word for it. I can’t watch stuff like that.
I’m actually fortunate to be friends with dairy farmers. The ones around my area treat their cows exceptionally well. They don’t mass produce milk. In Canada we have a milk board which regulates how much milk can be produced.

Any guesses on what the doomsday clock will say this year? 1991 was the best year for the clock. It moved back 17 mins due to the end of the Cold War. Last year was the closest ever at 90secs.

My guess: 15secs left. (I think we are very close to annihilating ourselves)

I'm a huge fan of solar lights in my front yard. Almost all of them are flowers of some kind, to twinkle and sparkle in the winter. Today I received one that is a watering can on a small shepherd's hook and it has tiny filament wires shooting out of the spout sprayed out toward the ground....which twinkle like water in the sunlight. I'm a simple human and this delights me.

Okay, what is your most Privilege Problem Rant?

I'm gonna embarrass myself first and say mine:

I went to TJ Maxx to get some half priced Christmas candles, but their policy is they only give you 50% off if the cashier decides it looks Christmassy enough, even though everything I got rang up as December Seasonal and was in the 50% off area.

My local Lowes changed to a Rona & now they have a crappy selection of plants. I have to drive 45 mins across the city to a nursery to buy nice plants; they’re also double the price. 😉🙄 Yes, I’m so white I don’t burn I bleach. 😬
