Just starting preparing lunch, I'm making my wee neighbour (and me of course) an omelette, mushrooms, spring onions and peas with some cheese and lots of pepper. It's the one time we can stop for a chat for a little while.

@skyfire747 @NormanDunbar So easy to make, just a few mushrooms and a couple of spring onions in a small frying pan with frozen peas - they warm through while the mushrooms cook. I use the same pan to make the omelette with 3 eggs then tip the filling on half and some Davidstowe cheddar with parmesan on top once folded. 5 minute diabetic friendly lunch with no meat.

@suearcher @skyfire747 @NormanDunbar They really are good aren't they? I'm lucky to have a friend who rescued a load of battery hens so get really fresh eggs when ever I need them, she also grows loads of veggies. My wee neighbour is a widower and I kind of look after him now and then so always go for healthy but light stuff like omelettes.

@suearcher @skyfire747 @NormanDunbar Gouda and Parmesan on the ones earlier, it was going to be Davidstow Cheddar but hey, there was enough Gouda in the fridge so it went inside and the parmesan on top - don't need any salt that way.

@suearcher @skyfire747 @NormanDunbar The Kenwood I have has a few grating options, it'll grate a lump of cheese in seconds. I use it for Parmesan when I'm making lasagne.

@NormanDunbar No but thanks for that, this was a message from mastodon the same way I get messages saying that my toots have been sent or when I drop WiFi that there's been an error etc, a little black rectangle flies in on the bottom left of the browser with a message.

@fkamiah17 Cameron the corrupt, the cabinet minister without a seat, brought in as a favour to a cowardly mate, really needs to go, once and for all. Nothing he can do or say will excuse him from what he has done to this country. Nothing he can do or say bears any truth to me or should it to any self respecting person. Siding with Israel, to this rich coward, will be a money making exercise in some way, nothing more than that.

Diary of an ASD Squirrel. Day 170 , Monday 15/04/2024

TL:DR

Up at quarter to Oh My Gawd (aka 05:45) this morning goit brutally abused by a super wet cat who came charging into the kitchen from out of the rain !

The day progressed as normal until about 10:30 when I worked up the nerve to chase EDF over the fact that rather than billing us for a month , as I expected they billed us for 2 weeks - just because !
I spoke to a nice lady who promised to sort it out & call back within about 20 minutes - still waiting at 8pm !

Went onto the web page & it seems they have cancelled all this years bills & (ignoring the fact that we have paid up to date as of the march bill ) want to charge us for the whole year to date - AGAIN !
I’m going to sort out this current billing crisis then up sticks & move to Octopus, who appear to be the least bad option currently.

Watched ‘The Bounty’ this afternoon to try & help me forget EDF for a while !

Succumbed to the temptation of pizza for tea , I needed comfort food !

Final Thoughts.

Please Nuggan don’t let this think with EDF drag on like it did last year , it might break me permanently if it does !

I don't have a direct debit with them just yet as British (South African) Gas tried to over charge me by almost 10k and threatened all sorts of legal stuff. They did back down in the end but. So with no dd they wanted it in one hit which was fair enough really. No, they've been decent just watch the charges closely and don't have a smart meter if you can avoid it.
