@randahl Hamas hides within the citizen body intentionally for headlines like this. Sounds like they’ve got a good number of terrorists, destroyed weapons caches found in schools there, and rocket launchers used to attack Israel. Perhaps the world should hold Hamas responsible and demand they surrender. This would be over.

@MisuseCase @randahl Oh I agree, the entire situation is disastrous on all sides. War hurts many innocents. That is why if the world put pressure on the gang to quit ganging, this would be over without anymore needless deaths.

@cliffwade @viticci Given that internal specs are all identical like Mx chip and RAM, absolutely. The USB-C port already supports dongles for accessory expansion, the weight would be significantly reduced, and the foldable Bluetooth keyboard I bought on Amazon is actually impressively great! As long as I can have one external 4K display, it would appear that everything else is nearly identical.

What do you think Cliff? Would you have reservations?

Work/Career Update!

As many of you know, I have worked for @novalauncher for 8 1/2 years. When I was hired, I was done so as a contractor and remained a contractor the entire time. Then two years ago, Branch Metrics acquired Nova and while I made the transition over, I was still a contractor due to Branch not having things setup to hire full time employees in the state of North Carolina. So for the entirety of my Nova Launcher career, I've been a contractor. (cont...)

    I accidentally threw an AirTag out into a subway trash can. After two weeks, it ended up in a landfill in Amsterdam, OH owned by Apex Sanitary Landfill.

    I know a lot of people want self driving cars, but did you ever think about how the cops would be able to just program it to bring your ass in for questioning? Just lock the doors, change direction and boom; you’re at the station. No warrant, just hijack your ride 😬

    @patrickworld I didn’t think about the policing aspect; that’s a good one! I always said I don’t want to be ‘driving’ and a hacker taps in and steers me off the road. I won’t be driving an internet-connected vehicle anytime soon.

    Exactly the point. I was looking for an early era Twitter-like experience and we’ve got it here. Is it perfect? No. People have changed, desires have changed, words have changed… but there are no influencers here and along with that is the benefit is zero ads.     @BrentToderian I purchased my first e-bike just before Black Friday a few months ago and use it to commute to work 13.5 miles each way. I’ve put on 1400 miles already which is indeed a much quicker pace than what I would put onto my standard road bike. It’s so much fun, and extremely practical. I agree with this article… I’m on this bike all the time!! The agreement I had with myself is that I will be pedaling instead of using the throttle. Such a joy to burn 1000 cal each leg of the trip!

    It’s cool that people are interested. Where there’s one side, there’s another. The point we’re trying to make is this should be OptIn BECAUSE it’s created by a private entity, that’s all. It’s not an outrageous take.
