@katanova @ansate @Matt_Noyes @emi @dphiffer @sam @hollie @django FYI I'll be making some changes to join.social.coop tonight to renew the API key it uses to open registration bugs; @idmyn kindly reached out to let us know the previous key was expiring. There might be some disruption to the registration process but it should be solved tonight.

@flancian would it be useful to monitor the node process?

I’ve also seen there is some kind of interaction with a mastodon account if specified by a forum user…

Accessible buttons: GitHub mobile edition, the background colours which reveal the state of a reaction button are so similar in contrast that I frequently “unlike” things because I can’t tell if I’ve already reacted to it.

Screen caps are cropped so scale here is unrepresentative

@sik0fewl I think Lemmy can do most the job.

But we’re missing an instance dedicated to that, a place people can port their S.O. answers to, and start building language or domain specific communities

Article Interop WG: How to represent titles?

Should title be inserted into Article.content as an <h1> tag, or should it go to Article.name?

django,

@silverpill @article_interop article.name would be ideal, though I think lemmy expects title

    @chris that hit hard, I did a bit of “modern” theming a few months ago, and had the same thoughts around separation of concerns. Debugging where styles are coming from is not fun 🥴

    It's never great to find out you're wrong, but that's how learning and personal growth happens. HTTP Message Signatures are hard1. There are lots of complex parts and getting any aspect wrong means certain death2. In a previous post, I wrote A simple(ish) guide to verifying …

    Anyone have tips about a very low-spoon, easy set-up way to cross-post from Wordpress to Mastodon, keeping alt text in tact? Ideally free or one-time-purchase, not a subscription.

    Portable ePub vs Markdown

    Tweaking my site today, and realized again how terrible my permalink structure was when I started.

    And it’s bringing me back to a peeve about the severe limitation that is setting ActivityPub object id to something as flexible as pretty permalinks.

    django,
    @django@social.coop avatar

    @pfefferle I agree about the conneg, i think rest api might be a better choice

    django,
    @django@social.coop avatar

    @pfefferle … activitypub/1.0/post/{id}

    django,
    @django@social.coop avatar

    @linos @pfefferle I was thinking the same, the spec says we can use a url property

    > url
    A link to the actor's "profile web page", if not equal to the value of id.

    https://www.w3.org/TR/activitypub/#actor-objects

    django,
    @django@social.coop avatar

    @pfefferle i agree with @linos that this should be brought to the attention of and addressed by other implementators
