Looking at this new hashtags tab in Ivory really shows how little they are used at all for anything. There are supposedly several million people on here, and yet trending hashtags will have been used maybe tens of times in the last week.

@collin wonder if you follow a hashtag it will show more results. I have a very vague understanding of what activity pub pushes to various servers and it seems that registering that someone follows a hashtag may increase the likelihood that it gets to your server.

@b0rk I voted use but not comfortable. Which is not quite right. Very comfortable with basics, not at all comfortable with advanced features. Prefer visual editors for those when possible.

    For someone like me with a 2015 MacBook Pro a nice sleek MacBook Air with 16GB RAM and 1TB storage looks like an incredible computer. Especially that 18 hours of battery time.

    I NEVER thought I’d say that about the Air model.

    When running apps, I've started just running each of the commands in Procfile.dev in separate terminal tabs (rails s, yarn) plus Siqekiq. It lets me use binding.break (or equivalent) and have it be useable.

    Does anyone know of a good service that turns email newsletters into a RSS feed? It’s been a lot easier to retrain my muscle memory to read news in RSS than it has been to get me to read stuff in my email inbox.

    @collin @joesteel paid only I believe. But you get a random email address at newblur.com, and emails set there show up in your RSS feed under Newletters (Also in the unread view which is all I ever use anyway.

    I use Newsblur as a backend and Reeder for iOS & Mac as my front end. Works great.

    I have an at Fastmail: fwds email to the NB random address - easy to remember.

    @evacide You often rail against stalkerware and other technical issues that face people in, or escaping from, abusive relationships.I’d love to help on a local level (Atlanta, GA area). I’m very technical, but I have no specific training in this area.
    I wonder if you have any specific recommendations on how to beef up my skill in this area and then connect with an organization focusing on this problem where I can volunteer and put these skills to use.

    @agiletortoise I’m assuming fun size? Do you have a limit? How many does each person take?

    We do full size. My guess is that if typical person takes ~3 fun sized, it's about a wash in terms of cost / amount of candy per person.
    FYI - modest turnout. 1st year in new home, about 60 kids. probably 10 took 2 bars - only limit is social norms.
