This was a fun one, so let's do it again. What is something you've learned that seems unlikely, even though you know it's true? Here's one I think about a lot:

Sight, while being something something many people are born with, is not an innate ability, but something we learn to do. People who were born blind or were blind for a long time, who get sight, have to learn to see.

Below a certain size things don't have colors. Colored light has wave lengths and if you are too small to absorb or reflect it then you can't be "seen" in color in the traditional sense.

@ThatOneGuyT_T @w7voa It does. Several people were taken to the hospital. One is still missing. Also, there are apartments above the bank. Residents are currently without their homes or belongings because its not safe to enter the building.

@Cassandra It. Is not. For a number of reasons it's one of the worst options available for multifactor auth. I mean if your option is that or nothing, do that. But if its that or anything else. Almost anything else is better.

@Cassandra SMS is weak for a number of reasons:

SMS transmission is not encrypted.

Its vulnerable to SIM swapping attacks

Its also vulnerable to SS7 attacks

It's also an auth factor where your ID (phone #) gets shared widely. Making social engineering easier.

@dramypsyd @actuallyautistic I've personally found that when I'm upset, particularly during arguments, I still will loose the ability to speak. It's like my brain is racing through ideas I want to say, but I can't find ways to make it make sense. They all get stuck like a bunch of people trying to walk out the door at the same time. That loop just won't stop and gets worse the stronger I feel. It created issues in the past where my partner thought I was giving the silent treatment.

@dramypsyd @actuallyautistic Things that helped were communicating about what had happened and coming up with a strategy of finding something to say, even if it's "I don't have any words" so we know what's going on, and we can try to decompress and calm down.

It's about a month until my niece's birthday and I've decided to give her a book. Of course, me being me, I can't just buy a book so I have 1 month to write a series of short stories, illustrate them, bind it and gild it.

I know it's alot for a child who can't read yet but I want to encourage reading and for her to think it's magic. Besides what is stress anyway.

Planted up some seeds today as part of learning to .

Potatoes I planted in February and some seem to have taken - am just hoping the compost is deep enough for them.

Garlic I planted in December and again, hoping it's deep enough.

Carrots in the wellies! lol! Broccoli in a pot. Kale and extra carrots in the space the potatoes and garlic didn't take.

@alexisbushnell I'll preface with this isn't the prettiest solution, but you could fashion something with a wire hanger to go behind the blocks and come up and through the wire at the back of the basket.
