Dolly Parton is a national treasure.

Conservatives are the opposite.

I welcome the right continuing to attack the most popular, caring celebrities. It reminds us why we need to in 150 days!

- haven't seen that name in a while now.

I fact checked an article or two of theirs.

Just make sure you sanitise thoroughly after reading anything that comes from them.

🤦🏻‍♀️😳 & have discussed a possible advisory role for the Tesla leader should TFG reclaim WH, the latest sign that the once-frosty relationship between the 2 has thawed.

The role hasn’t been fully hammered out and might not happen, but they discussed ways to give Musk formal input & influence over policies related to border security and the economy, both issues on which Musk has grown more vocal.

If rational, the financial market would treat this as a possible risk to market stability.

But that would surprise me.

Asked a co-worker a question and she touched my screen 4 times. I'm not counting or anything, but 4 times. 4. It doesn't bother me at all though, it's just that it was 4 times. Anyway, I'm just gonna forget about the 4 times she touched my screen. No big deal. It's not like it was 5 times. It was 4

All I can say is that it's temporary and will stop with the new moon

The colder it gets, the worse the impact. STUDY:

"Results showed that every short-term drop in daily temperature of more than 3°C led to an increase in the number of hospitalizations due to a worsening of disease progression in infected individuals with a 1–3 day lag."

I can't access the entire study. I wonder if cold air does something to the virus, or if it's just that colder weather means more time indoors and greater exposure.

I want American traitors charged with treason. They’re easy to find, they’re in the government.

skua,

@StillIRise1963

AIUI treason as a criminal act is strictly defined in the law of USA.

And a declared war is needed to create the legally defined enemy.

If I've got this right then it seems impossible for them to be charged with treason.

Why is The Wayback Machine so important for preserving our digital culture? According to new analysis from Pew Research Center:
❌ 38% of webpages that existed in 2013 are no longer accessible
❌ 23% of news webpages contain at least one broken link

Figures given are AIUI low.
Study estimates the percentages of webpages that are known to have existed that now are broken links.

Webpages that existed and have no accessible digital record of existing are not included in this study.

Know if had archived for perpetuity? Would be one way to that was (/is?) such a poisonous feature of the culture of a large online community project. Train for online abuse.

Thanks for sharing that.

Google Delists Sites Providing DIY Hormone Therapy at Behest of UK Government

Google has removed two websites providing “DIY” hormone replacement therapy used in gender-affirming care from search results at the request of the UK government, according to legal letters viewed by 404 Media (@404mediaco).

The sites Google has delisted do not appear in the non-paywalled preview section of the article.

It verges on the edge of being when is paywalled like this. More so when it is .

Below may be one of the two sites delisted in the UK.

If I was using this information I'd do a site rip now as a precaution.

No problem with you posting this.
It's a complex situation.
Possibly the publisher would have been wiser to make it paywall-exempt.

🆕 blog! “Bank scammers using genuine push notifications to trick their victims”

You receive a call on your phone. The polite call centre worker on the line asks for you by name, and gives the name of your bank. They say they're calling from your bank's fraud department. "Yeah, right!" You think. Obvious scam, isn't it?…

And then a ummm "successful" Australian bank texts an elderly customer saying they'd like to speak with them.
The SMS included a phone number and a password.

[invective directed against that bank's dipshit customer communication manager]

Yes it was genuinely from the fking bank.

Great way to train customers up to be scammed. Dickheads.

WARNING
The map is interesting.

But the linked site is "Kill them all and let God decide who is innocent" on a global ecological and human genocide scale.

A quote from the article,
"Not solutions that will lead us back to the climate of a few decades ago – costly and pointless – but solutions that work for the world as it will be, when it will be much warmer than it is now."

But maybe you're less blasé about the deaths of billions?

in 1915.

The rondeau "In Flanders Fields" by the Canadian poet John McCrae is written; it is first published on December 8 in the London magazine Punch. He was inspired to write it, after presiding over the funeral of friend and fellow soldier Lieutenant Alexis Helmer, who died in the Second Battle of Ypres. According to legend, fellow soldiers retrieved the poem after McCrae, initially dissatisfied with his work, discarded it.
