@alanpringle @horror I use TUBI often as they have a ton of obscure & well known films. I don't even mind the ads, really- theirs are not as plentiful as other streamers... But I WISH they could find a way to be more thoughtful for when they DO pop up. It's jarring and ruins the tone of the film sometimes. But yeah, for a free service, it's definitely a minor peeve.

@biancotitanio @horror Nah, don't apologize- that's all extremely frustrating, infuriating & stupid and I don't blame you for resorting to those methods one bit.
I cancelled Amazon once they started w the ads because even before that it was a piece of shit and they loved to show me movies that appeared to be on Prime but weren't unless you paid more, or got a free trial for some other fucking offshoot.
And the others... I'll stop now before I rant anymore 😂

@Nekoplanet @biancotitanio @horror I have always been a passionate buyer of physical media so I have no desire to pirate, esp with free sites that exist like Tubi, but I don't see an ethical or moral issue with doing so, since the corporations are greedy with terrible people in charge, who do not care about anything but profit.

@Nekoplanet @biancotitanio @horror Yeah, now I'm wondering if I should start buying 4K for new releases and ones I don't already own, if available. I'm not giving up my DVD & Blu-ray player, though. I have too many freaking movies on those formats and I'm not rebuying my collection. 😠

📽️ BEYOND THE DOOR was ghastly, gruesome fun. Riveting for wrong AND right reasons, it's an abundant assortment of Exorcist tropes & gleefully deranged insanity. The sound design! The FX! The kids! The nose flute! Some genuinely creepy scenes & a stellar lead elevate this movie to FANTASTIC 😄

I watched a screener of this last night. Recommended only if you want to be traumatized! This was messed up! @horror THE COFFEE TABLE will begin a limited theatrical run in Los Angeles at Laemmle Glendale on April 19, with additional markets to follow including New York, Austin, and Chicago.
