@mdylanbell@stupidjim he's a tankie. his concept of decency to blame every problem the world over on the US, or, in cases where he can't, draw a false equivalency and decide that Russia/China/Iran/etc. is pretty much fine given that false equivalency, but the US is not. The issue doesn't matter; the people don't matter; all that matters is demonizing "the West."

Half a million people through the whole of Germany (not just berlin) are demonstrating hard to keep things fair for everybody, they deserve fair coverage.
Why is center-left media toning down on these huge protests, they should be supporting it.
@chris@stupidjim I honestly don't know what to think. I enjoy Mastodon for what it is. I think going critical mass would be a mistake. The barriers to entry here are a good thing.
I'm torn. I know how hard it's been just for the largest instance in Canada, MSTDN, to keep the lights on with current donations.
There's always this 'but' when it comes to changing something yourself.
