Minor point, but I'm a little surprised that #DeadSpace remake didn't retcon the crew compliment of the Ishimura. 1000 workers doesn't seem close to the required amount of biomass to be responsible for all the Corruption or the Leviathan.
It's a video game sure, but esp with the remake the series is pretty damn good at dotting it's is and crossing it's ts. The remake ties in several parts of the lore that didn't exist when the original was made.
@SirTapTap Oh heh, they even have my Transformers example there (as just one of MANY issues with the TF franchise regarding time, size, time etc) :P

@Carnivius I saw a good post on /r/noncredibledefense of one of those "X lich slept for a THOUSAND YEARS BEFORE RISING" and when they wake up they just have fucking tanks and obliterate the evil guys lmao
Minor but appreciated little thing, the #DeadSpace remake has isaac lean (but not MOVE) towards a direction you're moving the analog stick within the deadzone.
Nice for the smalllllest possible movements, or just seeing where the dead zone is.
@SirTapTap I noticed a similar detail in #metalGearSolidV. Pressing in L3 sprints. Normally people only press it while already moving but if you press it directly down (in the dead zone, as you say) then Snake hunches down in a sprinters position. This stuff is great.
I know it’s a 15 year old game but it’s new to me. It’s like discovering a classic movie or book for the first time. #Alien is one of my favorite movies so exploring a spaceship is 🤩
It’s visually stunning but the 2008 version still holds up. Its HUD-less UI must have felt revolutionary then. It still does.
Gosh, I’d love to see a fully ray traced version of this game.

Finished the #DeadSpace remaster, and it was well done. The fight with the Hive Mind was much more fun than in the original, and I like how they also made some parts easier that I dreaded previously, looking at you ADS cannons.
