@palestine While pro-Israel counter protestors gather across the street, we will not be intimidated. Until Palestine is free, we will chant, scream, and sing together: "Let Gaza Live! NOT IN OUR NAME!"

@ifnotnowboston @palestine @hannu_ikonen Student protesters could try a different tactic. They could become investors in the U.S. defense contractors or other companies they want to influence. That would allow them to become activist investors and push for the changes they want to see from the inside as investors. https://www.washingtonpost.com/business/2024/05/03/university-endowment-funding-protests-israel/

or they can take aim at the hyper-financialization which renders the university endowments' very real and material complicity in the oppression of Palestinians so opaque, as well as creating lots of other problems for higher ed:

@PariaSansPortefeuille @ifnotnowboston @palestine @hannu_ikonen Growing concern about US-China relations has begun to reshape bilateral trade flows of critical and non-critical goods. The recent trend toward decoupling from China suggests that either the recently introduced policies have been effective at reshaping international trade flows, or growing concerns about risks are leading firms to optimally restructure their supply chains. Currently, the US imports a wide variety of goods from China, many of which would not significantly affect the US economy if their access were suddenly disrupted. https://research.stlouisfed.org/publications/economic-synopses/2024/01/19/decoupling-where-it-matters-us-imports-from-china-in-critical-sectors
