People on both the left and right tend to be against "climate alarmism", but consider this..
Half the populace doesn't vote rationally, but emotionally. Currently, they are voting right wing, because those parties use this to scare them into hating immigrants and LGBT people and whatnot.
So why not co-opt this strategy?
Make them fear the climate apocalypse - hey, it's not even a lie - and you might steal a lot of those emotional voters, and for a good cause no less!
Somebody needs to do a series on "bunkers and closed communities of the rich and famous" and point out that if they didn't believe in climate collapse causing food shortages leading to riots they wouldn't have them.
