I am in a bit of a pickle. I'm a developer, and I also use some crypto social media, and I also like downloading media sometimes, I do a lot of stuff. I modify CSS, I script & hack the web, yadda yadda. Basically what this means is I ended up with like 50 addons I juggle-enable-disable all the time. This is extremely frustrating...
I have enabled everything to make userChrome.css work, but it doesn’t seem like any JS works when I paste it into a userChrome.js file in my chrome folder, including this JS snippet, it could be because I’m on macOS. I should note that the chrome folder is not in my profile directory, its somewhere else and symlinked to that...
I should not be a few keystrokes away from accidentally deleting all of today’s entries with no confirmation if I’m sure, and no way to recover them, even if I close the browser in the same second. I don’t even know which ones I hit.
I found the flag to disable it, but I’m really curious why the decision was made in the first place. On Chrome and Firefox, l If you double click this example HTML5 : www.w3schools.com/html/html5_video.asp, it will go full screen. I’ve always wondered why sometimes click on a video would make it go fullscreen, it’s laggy...
I found that all search engines in Firefox, default and user-added, are stored in the search.json.mozlz4 file in the root of your profile folder. I used this software to decompress it: https://github.com/jusw85/mozlz4 (I compiled it on macOS with cargo build). I tried looking up what each JSON property means but didn’t find...
Addons that can do one the other or both. I looked in the Firefox addons store for but most of them have their own GUI for doing so. That could work but ideally I’d like to select a folder or some bookmarks in the bookmarks menu or sidebar and select a context menu option to refresh those favicons and or titles, its possible...
I want to export my chats in Markdown and I don’t like how bloated Superpower GPT is, I just need to download chats. I wonder if this has to do with the relatively new addon domain restrictions feature. I followed the instructions on that page to set extensions.webextensions.addons-restricted-domains@mozilla.com.disabled to...
For the past few weeks I’ve seen Firefox use up more memory in MacOS Activity monitor with less tabs. I really don’t feel like troubleshooting it though.
I'm using kbin with Firefox on my phone, by pinning it to my home screen. Once I opened a YouTube video by accident, I clicked "cancel" to try to close it, but instead it opened the YouTube link in Firefox, and now I have to specifically select to "Open in App", and I don't see any option or setting to restore the previous...
I’m wonder if its possible to change or refresh tab favicons and only favicons (without refreshing whole tabs). I looked through some pages on MDN and about WebExtensions but I haven’t found any search bars. I’ve also done Google searches specifically for that with no luck.
