When you use a #Hashtag could you capitalise each word please? That way, people using screen readers will hear each individual word, which means they'll get more useful context as a result.
When you don't capitalise hashtags the words string together and make no sense.
For example #ThisIsHow would read as "This Is How" while #thisishow would sound something like "thissy show". A small change for you but a game changer for many people.
Yeah, this really annoys me. I've been going out of my way to camel case my tags, and I can't make use of the autocomplete. Especially annoying on Mobile.
@BigGayShaun Thanks for this! I literally only lowercase hashtags because of tradition, having been around since their inception, and how they "look like proper hashtags" when lowercased. Tradition is a very poor reason to keep doing anything. Accessibility and inclusion are great reasons to change.
@BigGayShaun : that's a bug in #Mastodon's user interface: it only suggests lower case #Hashtags - probably because they're only stored this way? Eugen @Gargron , could you comment on this, please?
@df_mastodon@BigGayShaun@Gargron Yeah that has always bugged me too. It forces me to manually type out the hashtag in full every time, and then if I get enter by accident it "downgrades" to the lowercase version that gets selected by default.

@BigGayShaun Minor point here: when the Mastodon web client offers autocomplete suggestions for your #hashtag it will only offer lower-case versions. So it's best to just finish typing the tag out yourself, to keep the capital letters in where you need them.
I try to camel case but the only issue is that when i start a camel case hashtag, I will get suggestion hashtags that are not camel cases. I don’t know why it does this. And when I click the suggested tag it makes my tag lowercase. Any solutions?
