Are Yuki Usagi (雪うさぎ, snow rabbits) a Japan-only thing? The ears are usually made from bamboo or camellia leaves (they are perennial, so the leaves don't drop in Winter), and the eyes are made with Nandina berries. They don't normally have whiskers :meow_whistle:
It's actually pretty funny that in Card Captor Sakura, Kero-chan always calls Yukito Yuki Usagi too.
Suspension of belief in #CardCaptorSakura clear card is getting a little difficult, it's like the meme of a couple breaking up because of an obvious misunderstanding.
Sakura somehow can't call Eriol for some reason, but Syaoran is directly reporting to him on Clear Card progress by phone, AND Kero is still playing online games with Spienel.
So this one line of communication is somehow broken, but Sakura doesn't care? And this Syaoran-Eriol conspiracy feels so artificial vs the mystery of the original series. There's foreshadowing, and there's plot bludgeoning. :blobfoxangrylaugh:
Sports day 運動会 in card captor world is fun because it's told from Sakura's point of view, and she's great at sports. :meow_sushihamachi: For the rest of us, mantatory sports competition was a real pain :meowfearful:
I watched Card Captor Sakura in dub so long ago, so I never knew that the 'Watery' card was 'ウォーティ'. That's a very weird loanword contraction. ワタリ would be closer. :meowthinking:

I don't necessarily agree with everything brought up, but I agree that it's an interesting product of its time and ahead of its time.
I only watched the anime ages ago, so I guess I'll finally figure out why Clear Card was a bit disjointed from the anime.

Of course. It's actually pretty uncommon in mainstream anime, except of course the infamous #CardCaptorSakura one where it's elementary school. CLAMP quietly never mentioned that 'soul pair' due to the controversy.
Well, I've been considering it for a while now, but I've distro-hopped my laptop from Fedora to #Debian....mainly since I know I'm probably gonna be using my laptop very infrequently at this point, after it was my main computer that I'd bring to university (and even then it became redundant due to COVID).
I've been thinking about it for a while now, WELL before the current dumbassery that Red Hat's been pulling off this year. That's mostly coincidental. Mostly.
As you can see, I've been supplementing the VERY stable base of Debian with #Flatpak for most of my apps.
