One of the things we did "back in the day" (say early 2000's) was have author groups where maybe 5-10 authors were in a group, we had a website, a newsletter, I guess now there'd be social media presence, and we each agreed to promote the group in each others' newsletters .... I suppose that's out of fashion, but just thinking I'd love to get more 👀 on my books.
I finished Cursed Cocktails by S.L. Rowland last night and it was a nice mostly low-stress #cozyfantasy akin to the style of Bookshops & Bonedust by Travis Baldree.
The style of the warrior finding community after war/adventure, set in a magical land of elves and humans and dwarves.

Halfway through #LegendsandLattes by #TravisBaldree and I am pleasantly surprised how much I enjoy it! Haven't even gotten to the romance yet and the story alone has completely pulled me in and the characters are so endearing 🥰. I think I'm slowly starting to expand on the genres I enjoy. I'm excited to have found another author I think I'll easily return to again and again.
I packed so much in this novella and sometimes I feel the promos focus a lot on either characters or general genres, so here are four semi-random things I love in AWAKENINGS.
Rumi's actually the first character I came up with, and the one that changed the most! I'd planned for someone much more happy-go-lucky and pure, but when I got to draft, Horace occupied a lot of that space, and Rumi became the grumbly one 😂

I love em-dashes, semicolons, and utilize Oxford commas. I also describe nature with influences of Tolkien. Yes the story might meander into side quests but…it’s worth it.
