I’m still undecided on if I should pick up the last 2 #Destiny2 expansions on sale this week or not… or just let the franchise go…
It’s been hard not playing for the last few years and I miss the world - but I don’t miss the drama and monetization around the game. I also don’t raid anymore (accessibility issue) or play much PvP anymore, so I don’t know where my value would be in playing again.
Just got done doing the new dungeon, Ghosts of the Deep, that came out yesterday and got the helmet, chest and cloak for my Hunter, so now my Hunter has a much better look than earlier.
Pretty fun dungeon compared to the last couple that I haven't enjoyed all that much.
Hunter is looking pretty fashionable right now in my opinion!
I’ve taken a long break from the world of #Destiny2 but I’m considering coming back and catching up to see it through the ending of the ‘Light vs Dark’ saga.
I met @craftykraken playing the original Vault of Glass back in 2014, so the game holds a special place in my heart.
I’m just dragging my feet on the cost of needing to buy multiple catch up expansions x2 (for each of us).
Would you say it’s worth it? With the current #Steam sale?
There's supposedly a story in #Destiny2 but I choose to ignore it completely. The Witness? Witness me ignoring whoever that is and just shooting the things with the little yellow bars over their heads pew pew
If you haven't run this, you absolutely need to. It's one of the best missions they've ever built, and the (now craftable!) reward Dead Man's Tale is an excellent, unique scout rifle.
Easily one of my favorite features of being back on #Windows for gaming in the last couple years is the Volume mixer option in system settings.
I dig having this granular control over everything playing audio. When farming/grinding a lot of #Destiny2 content, I put on YouTube videos and it's tedious to go into each app or browser tab to adjust this stuff.
Windows Button > type "mixer" > Return > Bob's your uncle. Say hi for me.
For today's #MusicMonday I'm sharing a gem from the #Destiny2 OST called "Journey", the theme that accompanied the unforgettable opening of Destiny's Red War campaign.
Do you ever wonder why certain songs bring back such vivid memories? Well, according to research, music engages the areas of the brain that are involved with paying attention, memory recall, and emotional processing. #Gamers, what's your favourite video game soundtrack, and what memory does it evoke? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zYfe9caNqfA
Away from #Destiny2 all week dealing with family matters.
So I’ll have some catching up to do on Solstice because I want that Reveler seal! I gilded the three other seals for it over the past year, this one’s been a long time coming!
I like seals. They’re fun. Especially the physical version you can buy, but only if you completed it in-game! One of the low key things I love about Destiny.
All Dawning-related ships should have the Spirit of the Season perk from Starfarer (season 12) that helps with earning Dawning Spirit during the event. #Destiny2#SeasonOfTheWish#TheDawning
1 - I think the Rhulk mask looks sad, with the way the eyes angle down and away
2 - Upon closer inspection they look like... what? I've seen some people say capacitors. I think they look like those plastic pins you use to hold corn on the cob
LOL. Someone found a glitch to yeet Crota off the map with a finisher.
TL;DW (4 minutes), but definitely skip to the end to see this gloriousness: Get a bunch of knights finishable. Bait them all to far mid, near the out of bounds ledge. Start finishing them, get lucky when Crota gets yeeted off the map along with one of them. #Destiny2#SeasonOfTheWitch
Just kidding this is the first one I've run into in ~ 30 hours after beating it once and now re-rolling biomes to hunt for gear and all the bosses I haven't seen yet #VideoGames
Planning to switch to Linux as my daily driver now that gaming is in a better place. #Destiny2 still has no official #Linux support, though, and probably never will. Time to move on? Other ideas?
How do you guys feel about the Solstice event so far?
There's been some significant changes to the gameplay loop this year, and I'm seeing a lot of mixed opinions. Interested to hear what you guys think!
