Who can also be EU citizens that live in Germany. I could’ve been a candidate myself without being of German nationality. #ThanksEU

At out annual Christmas together yesterday, we had a go at making some predictions for 2024. Obviously the US elections dominated discussion while I was arguing the #euparl2024 elections may turn out to be more consequential for us is #Europe.
Either way, this new series on substack by @georgelakoff + lab looks an excellent primer on how to understand the moral framing of political debate in 2024, also an interesting perspective for the #Climate movement

There are two important votes coming up next year - the Local Elections and the EU Elections.
You do not have to be a citizen of Ireland to vote in these elections.
Citizens of other EU countries resident in Ireland can vote in the EU Elections, all residents can vote in the Local Elections regardless of citizenship.
You must, of coures, be over 18, and registered to vote.
