I swear #Fallout4 respects the players time and attention less than any major title in the last ten years. The game goes out of its way in several ways to just underscore how little it understands these things.
Going back to my earlier criticism: there is a third of four different games in Fallout 4 and those thirds don't play nicely together.
I must say that even after 9 years, jumping between the factions I will not side with I still feel bad when the characters in them confine in me when I know I will betray them... But then if I take a step back and see what they have actually done, and plan to do...
Codsworth, unlike all other robots level up in the same way (the other) living companions do.
Now that's true Accidental AI: the power of Heart has taught him not only to think freely and develope true independence, but his Self is rewriting the very physical circuits in his body.
It's funny how after having ADA as a companion for less than 10 minutes the "Wouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu" sound of an Assaultron's head laser charging up is suddenly a calming sound instead of a panic-inducing one.
I was going to test my new ADA build against a high-level Assaultron and instead we all got attacked by a swarm of 8(!) festering bloatflies. Fun times.
#Fallout4 has been a guilty pleasure of mine lately. I say guilty pleasure because I’ve already spent over 100 hours or so back when it came out, and it’s definitely got its flaws, but I can’t deny it’s so fun. 😄
Since the show reignited the #Fallout fan in me, I’ve not been able to get enough of New Vegas, and the lore in general. I’ve been wanting to play the games again but have been craving the more modern-feeling games. I gave 76 a try, and I sort of liked it, but it’s not for me. 😅
