I had this Android mini figurine custom made for my dad somewhere around 12 - 13 years ago. I had it made since he was a Marine and I wanted to give home something unique. It was made by someone on Japan and then shipped over to me.
It was one of my dad's favorite gifts that I had given him and he still had it when he passed away in July 2021. It's been at my cousins house this entire time as that's where dad was living when he passed away. (cont...)
I am beyond words to finally have this as it's just one of the little things that I've wanted to remember my dad by. He displayed it proudly at all times, regardless of where he was and now, it'll be stored safely and securely!
I love you Pops, and I miss you more than words can ever say!
In the back of our minds, deep in our hearts, we all have a place that we think perfect, a sort of paradise where it would be delightful to live.
For me, one of those places is the country -- far out in the country and surrounded by meadows and trees, with plenty of space for animals to graze and children to play.
When I first saw Hughes House, the 1898 home (now a museum) built by the Pacific Ocean near Port Orford, OR, I thought, "This is a place to grow up in, be a child in, run about and play in!"
And it is good to know that, at one time and for awhile, there was a family in this house, there were children, and they did run and play through this magical place.
No, Babar the Elephant and his family are not featured on the Disneyworld Paris ads on television, but the glitzy-sparkly commercials are certainly in overdrive on French television.
