Still testing positive after 10 days of testing and 17 days of feeling sick.
Fuck Covid. And Fuck Cancer.
Logged an incident report at work explaining how I got this infection from a maskless co-worker because I was forced to be onsite and they knew their partner had "a mystery cold" and could work from home whenever they want but chose to come in anyway.

i have only a handful of radiation sessions left for my nuclear boob. can't wait to be done. after this, it's immunotherapy once a week until next spring.
am kicking cancer in the ass and taking names. 💪🏾 🥳 👍🏾
«the panel determined that starting biennial mammograms at 40 instead of 50 would prevent an additional 1.3 breast #cancer deaths per 1,000 women over the course of their screening lifetimes. For Black women, starting a decade earlier would avert an additional 1.8 deaths per 1,000 women.»
so, i think this is my first #bloomscrolling post! i walk under this tree when i go to #radiation for my nuclear boob and i was wondering, is this a cherry blossom tree? it's one of my favorite trees in my neighborhood. i consider its flowers the official signs of spring. i took this with the phone. need to undust my camera for better shots of my sliver of nooyawk.
i honestly cannot wait to finish my #fuckCancer therapy so i can join in on the #BikeTooter fun and do my #30daysofbiking. fuck, i'll do 100 days of biking!
i miss being on my bike, going everywhere around the city. i should be able to do sometime in the summer. my goal is to do a century —from here to the tip of Long Island and back— after i ring that final #fuckCancer bell sometime in Spring of 2025.
good personal training day 🤪 focused on form over reps which is always the call, watched a vid on Turkish get ups (which I love) and tried to fix my bad habits #osteoporosis#strengthtraining
You're not alone. None of us is ever 100% alone... I got my diagnosis in December. Getting dose 2 of an IV "bone builder" tomorrow.
No breaks yet, but I have bone lesions here and there around my skeleton. I know rougher days are coming. I'm trying to enjoy what I have now, while I have it.
Forging ahead while the future is so foggy... it's a "new normal." Still wrapping my head around it.
Beautiful day out. Took a walk to get the blood flowing. Now I'm off to Portland to stay at a hotel and be at the hospital for my cancer surgery at 530am. Hopefully, I will post again after. #FuckCancer
BUENOS DÍAS and a little reminder to the folk who like me are undergoing #chemo or #radiation for #cancer : don't sleep on banana smoothies.
i use goat milk because it’s less allergenic and still has a nice amount of protein, calcium and fats. if you are vegan, oatmilk with some added pea protein should be good too.
i like to go the Puerto Rican way and sprinkle mine with a bit of cinnamon. i’ve also make with grated ginger and a bit of turmeric to settle my chemo tumny.

my radioactive boob looked on fire the past few days. the techs were worried cuz that's not supposed to happen so early in the treatments.
welp... it was the AQUAPHOR they recommended after each session
why?
🗣️ IT HAS LANOLIN, A HIGHLY ALLERGENIC ANALOG OF GLYCERIN.
am kinda amazed at how oncologists pay very little attention to everyday histamines like lanolin; when on the same notes, they recommend using clothes made of cotton, NOT woolen or synth fibers. 🧵
I saw this news yesterday and all I could repeat in my head were swear words. Ryan will die of cancer and is hoping to steal a few more years. He's a pillar of the #PHP community at large and the #Symfony community in particular. Folks, if you can, toss a coin his way. #fuckcancerhttps://symfony.com/blog/ryan-weaver-needs-our-help
so, today was my first day of #radiation therapy (for the new, breast #cancer). was not prepared for the itchiness and sweat of a radioactive boob.
had to get a tub of Aquaphor. apparently, should've been using that all throughout #chemo & my crocodile skin as well.
been moisturizing with almond oil like my life depends on it, but my skin seems to absorb this vaseliney concoction like it were the last drop of water in the desert.

Gleich geht's auf zum Gartencenter. (Das letzte mal hab ich es immerhin bis Eingangstür geschafft.) Mein mobiles Sauerstoffgerät ist voll geladen.
Ich bin gut motiviert.
Tschakka! #Fuckcancer
