Wow. I was printing a batch of these wire shelf hooks using my current favorite (cheap!) #PETG-CF from #Eryone. I’d been going through the current spool faster than planned, and it ran out partway through.
Normally, I run all my new spools through the food dehydrator. This time I was in a hurry and just unwrapped the manufacturer’s packaging, dropped in the new spool, and walked away.
Dry your #3DPrinting#filament, folks. It can absolutely be this soggy even if it’s still factory-“fresh”
I'm definitely in the "make useful plastic sheets" camp when recycling my leftover 3D printing material, but this strikes me as really interesting for larger-volume #3dPrinting environments like #MakerSpaces and schools and such:
Found another filament deal but you have to buy in bulk. Sunlu PLA + comes out to around 11 dollars a roll if you buy this set of 5 black and 5 white. I'm stocking up cause I have some droid builds coming up that will use a lot of filament. I've been using sunlu on my Bambu Labs X1 Carbon AMS with no issues using the Generic PLA profiles.
The Ultraprint resin 3d printer on Kickstarter looks nice! Pumping the resin in and out of the tub is a really good idea. Exhaust pipe is great too - I'm saying this as someone who's currently constructing a fume hood for his printer - and add on turn-table plus curing lights are also a nice touch. Only issue: how would I explain this to the family? 😐 #3dprinter#resin#kickstarterhttps://www.kickstarter.com/projects/juicelab/ultraprint-12k-high-speed-3d-printer
I mention #LaravelNova from time to time and that I am very satisfied with it. (and I have my own package for it, as I shared here before)
Now that it's been in major version 4 for a while, there's finally a short presentation on Laravel's official YouTube channel. (~12 minutes)
It's not a tutorial, but shows briefly what it can do (and it can do a lot more) to get an impression of it.
And yes, it all looks very simple and I have to say: what he shows in 12 minutes, I managed in about 30 when I first set it up, without any previous knowledge. Including reading docs etc. It really is that simple and I still really like it.
Sidenote: I also tested #Filament and it's not even remotely that simple. Theoretically, however, you can equip it more with custom stuff. But that's also theoretically possible with Nova, you just have to stick more to standards.
> It is recommended to dry the filament for 2 hours at 45-50°C in a conventional oven and with activated air circulation for optimal results.
