These are the 2 pots of that I use as - the others I don't harvest for cooking. Those ones are split & put into different garden areas. If you enjoy asparagus & endives - you'll enjoy cooking & eating young hosta shoots too. They taste similar to those veggies.

This was my first year growing . We love the taste & they grew well in our sack planters. I grow almost all tubers out of containers because I find it's easier to control & harvest than planting in ground. I will grow a lot more of them, next year. I grew only a few this year to experiment. Grows well in in .

I still have carrots & potatoes to harvest.

Maryann's Artichoke basil Tapenade

Tblsp fresh lemon zest
Juice of a half a lemon
Salt and pepper.
Can of artichoke hearts drained
Almost a quarter cup of toasted pine nuts
Tblsp of capers
About 6 green olives (mine had pimentos, use what you like)
Close to 2 cups fresh basil (loose pack)
4 cloves garlic
EV olive oil
Asiago shredded cheese, 1/4-1/3 cups
I pulsed it in my food processor

Backyard fruit trees update.

We've harvested from all of our apple, yellow plum & Asian pear trees 3 times already. More fruits are ripening for more harvests. Our peach tree has been harvested 3 times already. We have about 3-4 harvests for that tree.
