We're looking at pretty stable weather in #JerseyCity for the next week—lows just below freezing, and highs in the low 40s, with a chance of snow on Saturday. Humidity is 46% and the dew point is 13°F right now, so feeling kind of dry out there. This is an excellent week to repent to your weather lords. :WIH: :REPENT:
Ahhh, just remembering when someone opened a food "co-op," except it was a for-profit small business. I called it the "faux-op." If you paid a fee to "join" the "co-op" you got a meager discount on their bougie, high-priced items. It was basically a country club, for food. #JerseyCity
Cool, vintage drawing of the NYC/NJ PATH train system's network of tunnels. Seeing this reminded me of a gushing blog post I wrote for WFMU more than 16 (gasp!) years ago about the PATH, which is still online here: https://blog.wfmu.org/freeform/2008/01/bestworst-path.html
Couldn’t make the BikeJC light-up ride but glad the route came near so I could see it from the sidelines. Not as big a group in this cold evening but still a good showing! #JerseyCity
Rain today in Paris, though warmer. So on the one hand a great day for visiting the catacombs, on the other I may have to deal with my American discomfort of sitting in a cafe for hours sipping coffee. (Which always feels weird, not gonna lie)
I suspect this won’t be another 20km+ day of walking which is probably for the best, I could use a little break there.
@wordshaper As long as your calendar is full! I've been back to Pompidou twice since then, and some of the building's initial impact on me has lessened. But they still put on great exhibits! (And there is a satellite Pompidou planned for #JerseyCity, but in no such architecture.)
